While S.M.M.C. adheres to all state policies in reference to treatment protocols associated with varying levels of patient care, we also maintain our own set of treatment plans and protocols.
In the event an employee encounters an instance where S.M.M.C. and State regulations differ, the employee shall immediately panic, stop all patient care, and locate a nearby corner to cry in until further instruction is provided.

Only S.M.M.C. approved apparel is to be worn while on hospital grounds.
If an employee is present on S.M.M.C. property for any reason whatsoever (including work, visiting hours, personal errands, waiting for the bus, emotional breakdowns, or accidental trespassing), that employee shall remain in full S.M.M.C. approved attire.

Eating or drinking while on S.M.M.C. property is strictly prohibited.
Due to insurance liability concerns, allergen exposure risks, and unnecessary employee joy, staff members shall not consume or possess food or beverage items anywhere on hospital property.

Visible signs of burnout, emotional fatigue, existential dread, sarcasm, or eye twitching may negatively impact patient satisfaction metrics.
Employees displaying poor morale may be enrolled in mandatory resilience coaching and assigned additional open shifts to improve team engagement.
