I've spent years working in emergency medicine. Some shifts are intense, some are absurd, and some stay with you long after they're over. Making music gave me a way to process all of it and share the humor that people in healthcare know all too well.
Synthetic Medic started as an outlet for those stories and became an excuse to follow them wherever they lead: From Viking metal, Broadway Musicals, Italian swing, and everything in between. The sound changes. The urge to make something out of the chaos doesn't.

Some songs draw on real clinical knowledge and experiences, but they are creative works. Events, dialogue, characters, and details may be exaggerated, rearranged, or invented for the music. The songs are entertainment, not a factual record of any encounter and are most definitely not a source of medical advice.
No song is intended to identify or make light of a patient, family member, or coworker. I respect the people who trust us on difficult days and the people I work alongside. The humor is aimed at the chaos of the job, never at someone who needs help.
